The National Transportation Safety Board provided an update on Friday into the investigation of the deadly Army Black Hawk helicopter and American Airlines flight collision.

Army Black Hawk helicopter that collided with an American Eagle flight over the Potomac River​ late last month was flying with a safety system turned off, Sen. Ted Cruz told reporters after a briefing from the FAA and NTSB.

On Jan. 29, an American Airlines passenger jet and an Army helicopter collided as the plane prepared to land at Washington D.C.’s Ronald Reagan National Airport. Both plunged into the Potomac River, killing all 67 people aboard.
