The Brown Mountain Lights are a mystery in the mountains, not far from Knoxville. The lights are a phenomenon in the Pisgah National Forest in Western North Carolina that are totally unexplained.
The gorge — also part of Pisgah National Forest — has its share of reported lights, and a high bluff affords a distant look at Brown Mountain from Wiseman’s View Scenic Overlook.
