At Oakleaf, Chipoletti will have his work cut out for him. The Knights were 0-10 in 2011, its first season in district play. Coach Joel Brighton resigned last month.

Following the sudden dismissal of Fleming Island head coach Chad Parker, this week, the school has turned to former Oakleaf coach Derek Chipoletti, as first reported by Clay Today's Randy Lefko.

"I live in Clay County, and that is a big reason for the job at Oakleaf High School," said Chipoletti, who went 14-7 at Bradford. "This transition is bittersweet for me.
