Garry Middle School went into lockdown Thursday afternoon due to a student who brought a replica gun on campus.

The situation involving the mother arrested for bringing a gun to school escalated further after she left the building.

Principal Curt Ivey said the airsoft BB gun and knife were found April 16 while school officials were responding to a student discipline issue.
