Treatment for anterior shoulder dislocation aims to put the arm back in place, relieve pain, and restore full use of the arm over time. There are both surgical and nonsurgical treatment approaches.

Preoperative history The patient is a 23-year-old man who presented to our clinic with right shoulder instability. Past medical history was significant for a prior shoulder dislocation 4 years ago.
