Ballots for the Colorado Springs special election are being mailed today, asking voters to decide on the annexation of land for the Karman Line development. This election, taking place on June 17th, follows community concerns and significant signature support for a ballot decision.
The so-called Karman Line Addition is about 1,900 acres connected to the southeast side of the city via a strip of land. Potential development plans call for around 6,500 homes along with other infrastructure.
Voters will consider a ballot question on Ordinance No. 25-16, also known as the Karman Line Annexation, and whether or not the annexation of the land will be approved.
