Winter Weather, Snow and storm warning
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for Coconino County through 5 p.m. March 7. Heavy snow was expected above 5,000 feet. Total snow accumulations between 1 and 12 inches were expected.
Yosemite is included in an updated winter storm warning issued by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 3:37 a.m. The warning is in effect until 1 p.m.
The latest winter storm watch has been upgraded to a warning for Riverside and San Bernardino county mountains. That means heavy snowfall of between 4 and 8 inches at around 5,000 feet, up to 1 foot for 6,000 feet, and about 16 inches above 7,500 feet. Wind gusts could reach up to 60 mph.
Metro Transit service has been suspended bus service until further notice, but light-rail continues to operate.
