If you look at the Detroit Red Wings’ lineup from Thursday night’s game against the Montreal Canadiens, there are a couple of noteworthy takeaways when considering how the team was constructed.

Ristolainen tapped a loose puck just across the goal line with 4:34 remaining in overtime. Detroit defenseman Moritz Seider tried to clear the puck from in front of the goal but happened to pin it against the post, allowing Ristolainen to have the easy tap-in.

Joel Farabee’s goal at 5:21 of the second period was the only scoring through two periods. He fired in a backhand shot from the slot as the Red Wings were scrambling in their zone. The Flyers had the game’s only power play and didn’t convert.
