How to Turn Off the Snap to Grid in PowerPoint 2007. Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 allows you to align shapes and objects to a grid's intersection of lines on a slide layout.
Uncheck the check boxes next to "Snap objects to grid" and "Snap objects to other objects" to remove gridlines from your current presentation.
