Always use a memorable sudo password to install future third-party apps from Desktop Mode. If you forget it, you'll need to reset the Steam Deck to factory settings to change it.

Then, select the Power option. Then select Switch to Desktop Mode. You can optionally use a keyboard and mouse with a dock to use the Steam Deck with a monitor.

Switch the device to Desktop Mode. Open a browser and download the EmuDeck installer. Click Download and install the SteamOS version of EmuDeck.
