Switch to Desktop Mode In order to manually format the SD card to fix the performance issues, we'll have to switch to desktop mode. This is pretty easy. Just use Menu>Power> Switch to Desktop.

Switch the device to Desktop Mode. Open a browser and download the EmuDeck installer. Click Download and install the SteamOS version of EmuDeck.

Then, select the Power option. Then select Switch to Desktop Mode. You can optionally use a keyboard and mouse with a dock to use the Steam Deck with a monitor.
