BitLocker is a secure disk encryption solution that’s built into Windows 11. When your PC uses BitLocker encryption, it stores all the files on its internal storage device in encrypted form.

Many corporate clients use BitLocker to secure their PC fleets, Lambertz noted, and the encryption technology is now being enabled by default on newer Windows 11 installations.

Windows 11's default BitLocker encryption is put under additional scrutiny by a hacker who showcases an old bug still being exploitable.
