You can format an SD card using Windows, Mac, and Android devices, and likely your digital camera too.

If your SD Card is not detected in Device Manager, it can be caused due to outdated drivers, hardware issues, etc. Use these fixes to resolve this issue.

Click the Recover button to find a place for them on your computer’s hard drive. Do not recover them to the SD card, or you may overwrite the files before they can be recovered.

Insert the memory stick into an SD port on your computer or a memory card reader that's connected to the PC. Click the Windows orb and select "Computer" in the right pane of the Start menu.

Insert your SDHC card into your computer's SD card slot. If your computer doesn't have a slot, plug in your external card reader, and then insert the card into the reader.
