Microsoft is testing a new way to improve the Windows updating process with Update Stack Packages, available to testers in the Windows 11 Dev Channel starting with today's latest build, 22478.

Microsoft released an update to service components for multiple Windows 10 versions including 22H2, 21H2, 20H2, and more. The tech giant says the update, KB5001716, brings a new UI change.

Microsoft says the update will be installed automatically though it does recommend getting the latest servicing stack update (SSU). You can find such information on this advisory (ADV990001).
