To extract and sort non-adjacent arrays in your data, nest the CHOOSECOLS or CHOOSEROWS functions inside your SORT or SORTBY ...

Click the "AZ" icon in the Data tab's Sort and Filter group to sort the list alphabetically from A to Z. Click the "ZA" icon to sort in reverse alphabetical order.

Remember that conditional list of header text must be in alphabetical order. In addition, you’ll notice the drop down in Figure C has space for four items because the list contains blanks.

Microsoft Excel sorts slider buttons alphabetically and numerically. Fortunately, you can add a custom sort list to sort the buttons in a more meaningful way, when necessary.
