Update: Winter weather advisory issued for West Michigan until Tuesday evening – up to 6 inches of snow
The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory at 3:19 a.m. EST on Sunday valid from 4 p.m. EST until Tuesday 7 p.m. EST for Lake, Newaygo, Kent, Barry and Kalamazoo counties.

Winter weather advisory issued for all of Southeast Michigan as more snow moves in
All of Southeast Michigan is under a winter weather advisory from 1 p.m. Friday until 1 a.m. Saturday. Most of the snow will fall between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday. The snow will be the light and fluffy type. This is all based on the temperatures at the time the system moves in.

EST a winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid from 1 p.m. EST until Monday 7 p.m. EST for Emmet, Cheboygan, Leelanau, Antrim, Otsego, Benzie, Manistee and Charlevoix counties.
Weather Alert Day: Arctic blast and lake effect snow to impact West Michigan
A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for much of West Michigan through Tuesday evening. The heaviest snow will fall closer to the lakeshore with lower amounts the further east you go. This will be very light and fluffy snow due to frigid temperatures. That means the snow will easily blow around and could create whiteouts.
Winter weather advisory issued for snow squalls in Southeast Michigan
(CBS DETROIT) — Lake effect snow will move in and out Tuesday afternoon in Southeast Michigan. Accumulations will only be between one and three inches across Livingston, Oakland, Macomb, St. Clair, Washtenaw and Wayne counties.
