Parts of St. Bernard Parish were placed under a boil water advisory Wednesday evening due to a watermain break, officials said.

According to St. Bernard Parish officials, the advisory follows a watermain break in the Bayou Bienvenue Marsh, which has since been fixed by St. Bernard Parish government workers

A boil water advisory is now in place for parts of St. Bernard Parish. The parish says a water line broke in the area -- and testing for water quality is underway. The affected areas are the First Assembly Church on Paris Road to the parish line,

A boil water advisory for parts of St. Bernard Parish was lifted Thursday after water samples tested negative for bacteria such as total coliform and E. coli, parish officials said.
