Madness is the most unique playoff system in college sports. While other sports use a bracket format, March Madness includes 68 teams competing in single-elimination games until only one team remains.

A long rivalry between Auburn's Tahaad Pettiford and Michigan State's Jase Richardson will continue when the freshman guards lead their teams in the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday.

Madness continues Saturday with the end of the women’s Sweet 16 and the beginning of the men’s Elite Eight. The star-studded Notre Dame women started the day by coming up short against Hailey Van Lith and TCU.
