Apple is reportedly looking to release a pair of smart glasses by the end of next year in a bid to compete with Meta’s AI-powered glasses, the Ray-Ban Meta.

Meta's Ray-Ban smart glasses have been an unexpected success, selling two million pairs since launching in late 2023, with Meta planning to produce 10 million a year by the end of 2026. Now Apple is preparing to enter the smart glasses market with a product of its own.

Google recently made waves by showcasing a set of lightweight smart glasses featuring deep Gemini integration and an optional in-lens display.
