On Monday night, Connecticut's Fairfield squad kept its Little League World Series dream alive by defeating Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Connecticut's offense scored 10 runs in the sixth inning on Monday night to put the finishing touches on a 13-1 victory over South Dakota.

Rock-star status has found the Fairfield Little Leaguers, but they are unfazed and unbeaten so far at the Little League World Series.

Fairfield was also part of the tournament’s lone one-run game so far, edging Lamar LL of Texas, 1-0, in a classic pitcher’s duel. Fairfield ace Luca Pellegrini stole the spotlight, striking out 11 and allowing just one hit in a dominant performance.

The Braintree Little League team suffered its first loss of the summer Thursday, falling 13-0 to Irmo, South Carolina in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

The Fairfield National Little League team is 2-0 and will face South Dakota Monday night in the Little League World Series.
