Indian lawmakers have voiced rage over the U.S. allegedly flying dozens of deportees halfway around the world in handcuffs and leg chains.

Authorities are searching for a Bering Air passenger plane with 10 people on board that was reported missing while en route from Unalakleet to Nome, Alaska's Department of Public Safety said on Thursday.

India's Foreign Minister S Jaishankar has told parliament the government is working with the US to ensure Indian citizens are not mistreated while being deported. His statement came a day after a US military flight brought back 104 Indians accused of entering the US illegally.
