Frankenstein's theatrical release plan is, tragically, not an outlier when it comes to Netlfix movies. It's high time the streamer changed its approach to movie theaters.

It takes a very special Netflix movie to get a theatrical release before hitting the streamer, and Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein is certainly that. Netflix just announced it’ll release the monster movie in select theaters on October 17 before debuting on the platform November 7.
