Federal immigration officials arrested members of a roofing crew working in Duluth  this week. Five people were apparently detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested several people in Duluth’s Lakeside neighborhood Thursday morning. According to a witness, the people who were arrested were working on a roofing project at the time.

The roofing company whose signage was posted at the home where the arrests happened has declined to comment. WDIO is continuing to work on confirmation of the arrests, how many people were arrested, and why they were arrested. This is an ongoing story that will be updated as more information is obtained.

ICE declined to provide information to WCCO, saying, "Due to our operational tempo and the increased interest in our agency, we are not able to research and respond to specifics of routine daily operations for ICE.

Immigration authorities are making more arrests than they did under President Biden. But the Department of Homeland Security's own data shows that they're not keeping pace with White House demands.
