As the first Big Bang Theory spin-off that isn't a prequel, Stuart Fails to Save the Universe represents a big shift from the other spin-offs, both of which are set well before the events of The Big Bang Theory.

The Big Bang Theory” universe is growing again. On Wednesday, Warner Bros. Television and Chuck Lorre Productions announced “Stuart Fails to Save the Universe,” a new series coming to HBO Max. According to a press release,

"The Big Bang Theory" was a massive hit and there is a good chance it will go down as the last majorly-successful multi-cam sitcom. Unsurprisingly, it has yielded spinoffs. "Young Sheldon" is easy to make fun of.
