On Thursday at 4:44 a.m. a coastal flood warning was issued by the NWS Newport/Morehead City NC valid from Friday 3 a.m. until Saturday 10 a.m.

A low pressure system will bring some much-needed rain and the potential for coastal impacts along the Outer Banks on Friday, November 15, according to an update from the National Weather Service. The low will move through eastern North Carolina on Thursday night and rapidly strengthen as it moves offshore on Friday,

On Wednesday at 2:22 p.m. the NWS Wakefield VA issued a coastal flood advisory valid from Thursday 1 a.m. until Friday 1 a.m.

The NWS Newport/Morehead City NC issued a coastal flood watch at 3:35 p.m. on Wednesday valid from Friday 1 a.m. until Saturday 10 a.m. The watch is for Northern Outer Banks, Ocracoke Island and Hatteras Island.
