Harry Brook has called for patience after his "inexperienced" England side suffered a 68-run defeat to Australia, who took a 2-0 lead in their ODI series.

England were even captained by a Yorkshireman, Harry Brook, while another local favourite, Adil Rashid, took his 200th ODI wicket, but the day belonged to world champions Australia, now 2-0 up and looking to claim the series at Durham on Tuesday.

The result saw Australia surpass Sri Lanka for most consecutive wins in ODI. This was their 14th successive win in the format, the second-longest winning streak in men's ODI history with Australia also holding the record for the longest streak (21 games) in 2003.
