Taiwan detected 11 Chinese balloons near the island in a 24-hour period, the defense ministry said Friday – the highest number of balloons recorded so far.

Taiwan's defense ministry has reported a record 11 Chinese balloons near Taiwan in the 24 hours before Friday morning. Five Chinese aircraft and six naval vessels were also reported in the area.
