The Dallas Cowboys interviewed former New York Jets coach Robert Saleh on Saturday, another step in the search to replace Mike McCarthy. The in-person interview with Saleh came a day after Dallas held a virtual interview with Philadelphia offensive coordinator Kellen Moore,

Dallas has requested to interview Seattle assistant head coach Leslie Frazier for its head coaching vacancy, a person with knowledge of the decision told The Dallas Morning News. Frazier would be the second known name in the Cowboys’ search, joining former New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh.

The Dallas Cowboys have started their search for a new head coach, having requested interviews with several candidates to replace Mike McCarthy. Among those requests is Leslie Frazier, the Buffalo Bills’ former assistant head coach/defensive coordinator and current Seattle Seahawks’ assistant head coach.

The Seattle Seahawks could be experiencing further changes to their coaching staff. They are already in the market for a new offensive coordinator after firing Ryan Grubb, and have lost another assist

Interviews of Saleh and Frazier would satisfy the NFL’s Rooney Rule, which requires NFL teams to interview at least two diverse candidates for head coaching vacancies. Jerry Jones has also reportedly talked to Colorado coach and former Cowboys star Deion Sanders.
