At a board meeting on Monday night, The Kern County Fair Board of Directors unanimously voted to postpone the 2020 Kern County Fair. The plan is to bring it back in 2021, Sept. 22 – Oct. 3.

On Friday the Kern County Fair Board voted to move forward with the fair in 2021. This follows an earlier decision to postpone the fair until 2022.

The 2021 Kern County Fair saw a 24 percent increase in attendance over the 2019 event, the fair reported Monday, with a majority of those attending over the fair's second weekend.
