Music composers Akshay & IP called the track “a mix of new-age elements and irresistible rhythms,” paying homage to legends Bappi Lahiri, Lata Mangeshkar, Shabbir Kumar, and Anjaan.

Gori Hai Kalaiyan was originally sung by Lata Mangeshkar and Shabbir Kumar and was featured in the 1990 movie Aaj ka Arjun starring Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Prada.

He reigned large in the 80s and early 1990s. Who can forget the song ‘Gutur Gutur’ from Mithun Chakraborty-starrer ‘Dalal’ or ‘Gori Hai Kalaiyan’ or ‘Jimmy Jimmy’?
