After being shut down by GameStop in August 2024, Game Informer, America's longest-running and beloved gaming magazine, has seemingly come back from the dead.

Game Informer had been publishing magazines and online articles for over 30 years before it was summarily shut down by its old owner GameStop in 2024. Nearly a year later to the day, the venerable gaming publication announced its return to publishing both online coverage and its print magazine.

Game Informer is back, and so is its entire staff. On Tuesday, editor-in-chief Matt Miller announced that Gunzilla Games has acquired the rights to the gaming magazine, helping to bring the site and its archives back online.
