Cowan started training at Brennan’s gym, Next Generation/Blitz MMA, in 2014. The two were married in 2022. Brennan has coached Cowan in both her DWCS and UFC fights.

Cowan-Dickie, a renowned gamer who at one stage was ranked world No 1 for Call of Duty, gave it up to focus on his recovery and ditched the alcohol, too. Yet the biggest challenge still lay ahead.
