The 12-day fair that ended Sunday drew 270,486 visitors, about 11% fewer than the nearly 303,000 who attended the last fair before COVID-19 spawned cancellations in 2020 and 2021.

The announcement comes almost a week after the Orange County Fair canceled fair plans amid Covid-19 concerns. As of Monday, Ventura reported more than 550 cases of coronavirus and 19 deaths.
