Winter Weather Advisories have been issued for two areas of Michigan, both calling for some heavy snow and possibly difficult travel conditions on the roads. These two advisory areas are also hundreds of miles apart and have different timing, so let’s separate it out for you here:

Snowshoeing trails can be found all over Michigan, including at parks and recreation areas in Metro Detroit and the region’s Huron-Clinton Metroparks.

Due to this, every single county in the lower peninsula is under a winter weather advisory from 4 a.m. until 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15. Once it expires, all of Metro Detroit will be under a Winter Storm Watch. A 4Warn Weather Alert has been declared for Saturday and Sunday due to the weekend-long snowfall.
