A report out of the United States is adamant the V8 Hemi is making a comeback to Ram pick-ups after it was dropped in 2024. The Ram 1500 TRX is due to return with V8 power as soon as next year, according to an enthusiast site based in North America.

Replacing the HEMI V8 engines with a new twin-turbo six-cylinder in the Ram 1500 has been a controversial move to say the least, but according to the latest rumours, it might be only temporary. Sportsnaut has shared an email from a Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram dealer employee in the U.

CarBuzz spotted a leaked email from Wisconsin Dodge dealers, which Sportsnaut uncovered. The email details several changes to the Ram 1500. It shows the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 and the 6.4-liter Hemi V8 returning to the 1500 lineup. The latter engine would be trim-limited.

The Hellcat supercharged V8-powered Ram 1500 TRX could return next year, powered by a more powerful version of the Hemi V8. A "reliable" source confirmed the super truck's return to enthusiast site MoparInsiders.

If there’s one thing on which dealers can be counted, it’s for having more leaks than a screen door on a submarine. This time, it appears a screenshot from an internal email was shared, one which alleges numerous future plans for the Ram brand – including a return of the V8 engine to its half-ton pickups.
