However, according to PGA Tour writer Paul Hodowanic, Scott will serve as Scheffler’s loop in the season finale at East Lake this week.

At the BMW Championship last week, Scheffler made the switch away from Payne in Scott's continued absence. He elected to have Michael Cromie on his bag, and it ended up being the right call. Scheffler won the BMW Championship for his 18th professional title — the first without Scott as his caddie.
