Karnataka State Cricket Association officials Shankar and Jairam resigned taking the “moral responsibility” for the Bengaluru stampede tragedy, but said their “role was very limited" to facilitating RCB's IPL celebration.

A complaint has been submitted at the Cubbon Park Police Station against cricketer Virat Kohli by social activist H.M. Venkatesh. The Police have stated that the complaint will be considered under an already registered case and examined during the course of the ongoing investigation of the stampede incident.

The Bengaluru Police have filed a case on their own against RCB, the state cricket body, and DNA Entertainment over the stampede on Wednesday that killed 11 and left dozens injured.
