With Week 1 of the college football season less than two weeks away, the defending champion Ohio State Buckeyes officially named a starting quarterback on Monday. Head coach Ryan Day officially named former five-star recruit Julian Sayin as the team's starter after a neck-and-neck battle with Lincoln Kienholz.

Joey Aguilar will start at quarterback for Tennessee football against Syracuse in the 2025 season opener.

Sayin was one of the top-ranked recruits in the country in 2024, ranked as the No. 6 player and No. 1 quarterback nationally, according to 247Sports' Composite rankings.
