Four people were killed and another was injured in a wrong-way crash on the New Jersey Turnpike early Sunday, New Jersey State Police said. The accident occurred at about 12:42 a.m. on the southbound side, near milemarker 1.3 in Carneys Point.

Locals are currently at the scene and are in close contact with authorities to ensure the dignity of the deceased and assist with the necessary steps for the funerals.
