Apple launches iOS 26 beta 4 for developers with updates to Liquid Glass and AI notification summaries, ahead. A public beta is expected later this week.

A new image within the iOS 26 beta has surfaced, suggesting that Apple may be gearing up to release its own "sleep score" rating for the Apple Watch.

As with every iOS update, iOS 26 will bring with it some changes for the CarPlay interface that appears when your iPhone is connected to your vehicle – and Apple has now quietly confirmed that one of those changes will be support for video playback.

According to the reports, it seems that Apple could release the public beta for iOS 26 tomorrow, giving users a chance to try it out.

Notification summaries are once again working with news app headlines in the fourth iOS 26 developer beta, though it is too early to tell if it will actually work properly this time.

Apple’s next phone operating system arriving this fall, iOS 26, includes a transparent aesthetic mimicking the look of glass and making apps and buttons blend in with content on the screen. Google is doing the opposite with its newly released operating system, Android 16, which emphasizes brighter, punchier colors.

That’s changing in iOS 26. As spotted by MacRumors, when you tap within a message, you’ll get a cursor that will highlight the text you want as well as an option to copy part of it. Then you can take that bit of text and paste it into whatever app you want.

Apple has sued the well-known leaker Jon Prosser for the alleged theft of trade secrets related to iOS 26. Prosser has been accused of tasking another man, Michael Ramacciotti, with secretly accessing an Apple employee’s development iPhone and using that information to report on Apple’s planned changes in the then-unannounced iOS 26.
