A restraining order has been granted against Gerhardt Konig, the former UPMC doctor accused of trying to kill his wife in Hawaii. The order forbids Gerhardt, who is currently being held on $5 million bail, from being in their home or contacting their children.

An anesthesiologist accused of trying to kill his wife on a popular Hawaii hiking trail previously accused her of having an affair, which led to “extreme jealousy,” according to a temporary restraining order petition filed by his wife.

Arielle Konig, a nuclear scientist, accused her husband, Dr. Gerhardt Konig, of sexual assault before he allegedly tried to push her off a cliff. He now faces attempted murder charges in Hawaii.
