DEIR AL-BALAH, Gaza Strip (AP) — Hamas said Friday it was still reviewing a U.S. proposal for a temporary ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, where 27 people were killed in new Israeli airstrikes, according to hospital officials.

The Israeli military hit a residential area in Gaza City on Sunday (June 1) causing a huge cloud of dust and smoke whilst dozens of Palestinians rushed to help the injured. It was not immediately clear how many people were killed and injured in the attack.
