A Garland SWAT officer fatally shot a motel tenant during a standoff at a Motel 6; a second body was discovered inside the room.

Officers entered the room and found Burt dead. A second deceased person, Donald Bailey Sr., 69, was also discovered inside, police said. Investigators believe that Burt died from an apparent gunshot wound and "had been deceased for several hours" prior to the shooting, according to police.
