A First Alert Weather Day has been issued for Saturday as line of strong-to-severe thunderstorms will move into the Midstate.

The First Alert Weather Day started this evening and is set to continue until 4 P.M. Monday. As of this evening, the Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has areas west of I-75 under a severe threat. Areas near the Alabama State line are under a Slight Risk (2 out of 5) for severe storms while areas approaching I-75 are under a Marginal Risk (1 out of 5).
