Chris Sanders, the Wild Robot filmmaker who co-created, co-wrote and co-directed the 2002 animated Lilo & Stitch, is in final negotiations to return to the fold and pen the sequel to Disney’s live-action megahit.

After writing and directing the 2002 animated pic, Chris Sanders is returning to pen the live-action sequel to the box office smash hit Lilo & Stitch. Sanders, who co-directed the original movie and voiced Stitch, reprised his voice-over role in the 2025 update.
