Federal agencies canceled $400 million in grants and contracts to Columbia University over failure to address antisemitic harassment during pro-Palestine protests.

The Trump administration has warned Columbia University that it could permanently lose federal funding unless it surrenders control of an international studies department and makes extensive policy changes.

The government’s requests include banning masks, empowering campus police and limiting protests.
