US President Donald Trump has refreshed his threat to annex Canada just hours after King Charles spoke of the nation's "anxiety about a drastically changing world" while opening parliament in Ottawa.

Donald Trump doesn’t like to take no for an answer. The President recently claimed that Canada is “considering” the offer to become America’s 51st State. Trump’s claims were immediately debunked by the Canadian Prime Minister’s office.

Trump doubled down on that sentiment when speaking with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney. After Carney told Trump that Canada is “not for sale," Trump responded, “Never say never.” Soon thereafter, Carney extended an invitation to King Charles to come visit.
