Bob Davis spent more than 30 years of his life as the “Voice of the Jayhawks.” Since he died, many have spoken to the legacy he earned.

Bob Davis, the radio play-by-play voice of Kansas Jayhawks football and basketball for more than three decades, died on Thursday at the age of 80, his family announced Friday through KU’s athletic department.

Longtime voice of the Kansas Jayhawks Bob Davis has died at the age of 80. Davis died Thursday, a week after his wife, Linda, died in Lawrence. According to KU, Bob and Linda were married for 53 years.
