President Donald Trump’s Big, Beautiful Bill combines several promises he made during his campaign with various tax cuts and credits. But there’s one Social Security promise that didn’t seem to make the package.

For most Americans, Social Security income isn't a luxury -- it's a foundational part of their financial well-being. More than two decades of annual surveys from national pollster Gallup have consistently found that between 80% and 90% of retirees lean on their Social Security check, to some degree, to cover their expenses.

The One Big Beautiful Bill is a massive proposed tax and spending package loaded with initiatives that align with Trump’s agenda. As it’s currently written, the bill includes major changes to Medicaid, food stamps, border security, taxes and more that have the potential to affect millions of Americans.
