A reservation is not necessary for the museum. We hired a guide for a day long tour that started at the museum and ended at Omaha Beach. The entire landing area is large (about 70 miles from Utah to Sword and Gold) and I highly recommend a guide. Our guide was in the 101st Airborne in Vietnam and was very knowledgeable.
